why is this version of his recipe so different from the one he posted in
2007? I can’t get some of the ingredients for this new version here. His
old recipe I could find all of them. Has anyone made both versions? and
can you please tell me how they differ in taste? and which one is more

    Thanks for your help

Here is the original video that I followed:

Isn’t it better to cook cut pieces of chicken? 1. It’ll grab more flavour
and 2. It’ll cook faster. Any reason to cook it whole?

I’ve tried this recipe out a couple times and it’s really good! I would
recommend that people start by adding less than the 2 tbsp kashmiri chilli
powder, then add in more later. I don’t eat as much spicy food so my
tolerance level is a bit lower.

One issue I have been having though is that the khoya isn’t melting into
the gravy. I grate it into pretty small pieces, but even after it cooks in
the gravy I still see the whole pieces of khoya in there. Is it supposed to
do that? I wonder if I should try a different brand or something, though I
don’t know if I could given that there aren’t many Indian grocers in my

VahChef, you crazy S.O.B!! I’ve been searching high and low for a real
butter chicken recipe that’s up to par with the butter chicken I order at
restaurants. There’s in particular one restaurant that I’ve fallen in love
with, but I simply couldn’t find a recipe that delivered the same nuances
of flavors and at the same time packing a bit of gusto.
Then I saw your video, and I knew the craziness in your eyes would lead me
    to salvation!! Finally!! It’s there!!
Made with veeery few adjustments, such as adding 4-5 cashew nuts and frying
fresh onions with a cardamom pod, some pepper corns, cloves and a small
piece of cinnamon stick, before removing these again and pureeing the
onions and adding that to the spice mix as shown in the video. -And might I
say: DAMN!! That was spot on!! And indeed, that bread went in and out of
that sauce like a biscuit in a cup of tea at an old people’s home!! Thank
you for this! I’ve finally found my butter chicken recipe!!
