The chicken thighs must be first seared in a pan to enhance the flavour
before putting in the sauce to simmer.. Dont just boil raw chicken in the
    sauce!!

i don’t use any salt because the curry and chicken seasonings have enough,
in the beginning i burn the curry with garlic then sear he chicken, turn
down the flames and the steam will produce water :).. also at the end i add
the fresh seasonings(onions, thyme, garlic etc) and potatoes and carrots
;/ guess everyone does it differently

My Nan and Mother taught me to cook all the traditional Jamaican recipes
since I was 9 years old and I am so grateful to them. I’ve now taught my 2
Daughters and Son to cook and they are fantastic and pass with flying
colours every time. I’ve come across some wickedly awful tasting dishes,
all just thrown together and not seasoned properly.

This is the only one that EVERYone in my family likes. Now, I come back
this page every time I have the urge to cook curry chicken. Thank you Ms.

I just made it and it tastes great. I shopped last minute and ended up
buying frozen Walmart chicken breasts and used 3lbs. I couldn’t find scotch
bonnet so I used sricracha and I put in some bay leaves and parsley. I used
fresh thyme. I’m eating this! Thanks for this video!

Came out pretty good! All that was wrong was I cooked the chicken to long.
It all fell off the bone! Pretty delicious! Thanks Ms. Fay it was a hit in
my household even with a tbsp of ketchup! Will use this recipe again!

I normally brown my chicken first. Instead of using ketchup I use fresh
tomato or tomato purée. Great video

  23. Dorian Parpari January 28, 2015 at 10:32 pm

I’m going to make this for thanksgiving. What type of curry do you
recommend? Is sriracha sauce ok instead of scotch bonnet?

  24. mrscronan January 28, 2015 at 10:32 pm

Absolutely lovely, although I used carrots and sweetcorn instead of peppers
and I used tomato puree instead of ketchup but thats was just because I
don’t like ketchup full stop. I will have to go and hunt for the pepper
sauce, I guessed you use that to spice it up, is that correct? I used chili
powder in this case. Thank you x
