Hey John, here’s a question for you.

I became vegetarian about 3 and a half years ago and when I did eat meat
Chicken Kiev was my absolute FAVOURITE food. Can you think of a vegetarian
friendly recipe with similar flavours or premises?

I made this in cooking class today. ( I’m in high school) and I wowed the
teacher and students. I’ve never even made this before, and I hope to make
    this again.

Or you could do it properly and slit the chicken fillet and put the garlic
    butter inside the slit.

Dumb question but kindly humor me: If you don’t have a meat pounder/mallet,
what else can you use to effectively flatten a given meat?

I realize this video/recipe are about 8 months old… but I just tried this
tonight. A few things I suggest if you’re going to try it. Give yourself a
LOT more time than you think you’ll need. Also – Get A Meat Mallet!!!!11!!
I was trying to use a soup can, and I simply couldn’t get the chicken thin
enough. All the other steps are for not if your chicken unfolds as soon as
you try working with it because it was too thick to “wrap” in the first
place. Even though I’m full of fail, the recipe is sound, it still tasted
great, and I would try this again :D

I just made this tonight for my mother, grandfather, and I to eat and it
came out absolutely perfect. Thank you Chef John for such an amazing
recipe. I will pass it on to my friends.
